Japanese Film Festival, Ayala Center Cebu

I got an email this morning from SineBuano’s Creative Director, Diem. Here it is:

There’s a Japanese Film Festival sa Ayala Center Cinema 4. Here are the playdates starting this Wednesday. Admission is free of charge pero seating is a first come-first serve basis.

July 29 (Wed)

The Milkwoman (2005)
Synopsis: Unmarried 50 year old Minako (Yuko Tanaka) leads a quiet life, working at a supermarket and delivering milk locally. At night she finds solace in novels, her only escape from her dreary daily existence.

Synopsis: An intermittently amusing and occasionally touching drama about an elderly couple struggling with their emotional connection (or the lack thereof) with each other in the midst of an incurable disease.
